Spend a day learning to sew a gorgeous Top or Dress for spring/summer...
For this Make a Dress or Top sewing class in Leeds, we will use the Tilly and the buttons Stevie Pattern. The Stevie Pattern can be made into either a dress or a top... you get to choose what you want to make. The Stevie pattern is a real favorite, It has a boxy shape with turned up sleeves and either a pretty tie back or a button. It's so easy to wear. You can wear and make it over and over. The fabric you choose can change the pattern from day to night.
You will learn to sew different seam finishes to make your dress or top look just as good on the inside as it does on the outside. You will learn a really easy way to hem and use your sewing machine to add a button fastening.
This class is great for anyone who has completed our beginners sewing session or for someone who knows how to use their machine and wants to learn new techniques like following a pattern, creating a neckline, seam finishes and hems
For this session you will need to purchase the sewing pattern and your fabric before the class. You will need to cut your fabric ready before the class starts. Full instructions on how to do this will be sent to you after you book... they are super detailed so even if you've never done it before you will be fine.
You will leave the session with your own top or dress which you have made yourself!

The classroom is at the top of a set of stairs and so is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
We have access to small kitchen facilities and toilets.
