What to Expect...
This kids learn to sew class is perfect if you have a child who is desperate to learn to sew but you don't know where to start. We will teach them all the basics of using a sewing machine, and learning how to sew.
We spend the session learning to thread the machine, not getting in a tangle., how to sew straight lines and curves... and to top it off we make a gorgeous drawstring bag to take home... sewn completely by them! We believe everyone learns best when they are actually sewing something, so we jump straight in and get them sewing an actual bag. We keep all our sessions relaxed and fun, but especially our kids classes... and we provide drinks and biscuits too!
Handouts will be given for each technique we learn along with instructions so they can make more drawstring bags at home.
You can bring your own sewing machine, or you can borrow one of ours. Just let us know if you would like us to provide one.
All we ask is they are 9yrs+ (Year 4+) and they are excited to learn, and able to listen to and follow instructions (hard for some I know!!!) They will also need a responsible adult to attend the session with them. They will be taught by an experienced sewing teacher who has 3 children herself.

The classroom is at the top of a set of stairs and so is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
We have access to small kitchen facilities and toilets.

The Course is £49 for the day (10:30am -3:30pm)

Due to the nature and popularity of our Sewing Sessions once you make payment the class is non-cancellable, non-refundable and non-changeable. However, if you cannot attend please notify us as soon as possible see our contact us page for details.
